The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE), established under the MBSE Act of 1975 and operational since December 2, 1976, is a state-level autonomous educational authority administering academic policies from elementary to higher secondary levels in Mizoram. Headquartered in Aizawl, it operates primarily in English and Mizo, under the leadership of Chairman J H Zoremthanga.MBSE orchestrates a full spectrum of educational duties from curriculum design and textbook prescription, to school recognition, conducting annual exams, and publishing results. It actively coordinates with the state government and fosters initiatives to support both students and educators.
